Heather has twenty years of experience working in educational outreach for underserved populations, educational research and evaluation. She is a published author, grant writer and project coordinator choosing projects that empower and uplift people in the community. She worked on a Train-the-Trainer project on Emergency Preparedness for people with disabilities in Hawaii, and for the University of Hawaii School of Medicine Homeless Outreach and Medical Education Project. She also spearheaded and supported several community outreach and fundraising efforts for children and families experiencing houselessness and people with disabilities.
