A Message to Caldor Fire Survivors from West Slope Foundation's
Development and Program Director

June 6, 2023
I wanted to share some program and resources news with you.
Distribution Event
West Slope Foundation's last Distribution Event will be on Sunday, June 11, 2023, from 12 pm to 1 pm. Please note that this event is going to be held at the Fireman’s Hall located at 7060 Mt. Aukum Road in Somerset. Although this is our last Distribution Event, we are not abandoning you. West Slope Foundation will continue to look at ways we can help on an individual basis. Below are a new programs and resources to support you moving forward.
Individual Assistance Program
West Slope Foundation has redefined the Immediate Needs Program. It is now called the Individual Assistance Program, allowing you to request specific items you need. Much like the Immediate Needs Request which captured everyone’s requests, and created the Wish List for the Distribution Events, the Individual Assistance Program will look at individual needs and fulfill them as funding allows. If you have any individual needs, click on the Button below.

Seasonal Needs
With the Distribution Events wrapping up, West Slope foundation is gearing up for our Seasonal Needs Requests. This program is designed to help with items specifically for the changing seasons. A small distribution for the Seasonal Needs will be schedule for survivors to pick up the requested items. If you have not already filled out the Spring/Summer Seasonal Needs Request, please click on the Button below.

Basic Needs
These will be supported by the Food Bank of El Dorado County. Please call them directly at 530.621.9950.
Clothing Needs
These will be supported by Hands4Hope. Please call them directly at 916.294.7426.
Home Again
West Slope Foundation will be setting up a Home Again Shopping experience within the next 3 months that will allow you to go “shopping” for items needed for your home. There is no charge for any of the items, and you can pick out what you want. We will announce soon when the program is up and running.
Two Years Stronger Event
It is hard to believe that we are almost at the 2-year anniversary of the Caldor Fire. West Slope Foundation and the Long-Term Recovery Group would like to have another get together for our community. We are looking for some people to help plan this event. If you are interested, please email at Jennifer@WestSlopeFoundation.org and you will be added to the planning committee. We would love to see more of our community get involved and plan this event!
I know this is a lot of information to digest. If you have any questions, concerns, or suggestions on how we can better serve the community, I am always here to listen and help.
Please feel free to email me at, jennifer@westslopefoundation.org, or call me at 530.391.3140. My phone is always on.

Hope we all have a safe and fun summer!
