Steps to Joining Pioneer CERT
Pioneer CERT Basic Trainings
After completing your registration and orientation, you're officially ready to dive into your basic trainings—the foundation of everything you'll do as a Pioneer CERT or Teen CERT volunteer. These core trainings equip you with the essential skills and knowledge needed to respond effectively to emergencies.
Before you can move forward to additional trainings or official Pioneer CERT or Teen CERT-related events, you’ll need to complete the following required courses:
2-Day Disaster Readiness Workshop
Take control of your safety and peace of mind—gain life-saving skills through hands-on training, and practical strategies that prepare you and your loved ones for any emergency.
CERT Basic Online Training
Be ready when it counts. Build confidence and resilience. Learn essential skills to respond effectively, protect those you care about, and strengthen your community.
Incident Command System (ICS) 100
The foundation to understand incident command, coordinate effectively, and keep operations running smoothly during emergencies.
The Journey Continues
Once you've completed your Basic Trainings, the adventure doesn't stop—it expands! You'll receive a quarterly training schedule packed with opportunities to refine your foundation and explore specialized areas of learning. The Pioneer CERT and Teen CERT in-person courses are designed to sharpen your skills, build confidence, and prepare you for real-world emergency response.
