1-Day Workshop

Our One-Day Workshop packs the essentials into a single session—learn how to protect your home, pack your Go-Bag, choose key documents, plan evacuation routes, and find help when you need it most. Everything you need to start your preparedness journey in one day!

2-Day Workshop

Day 1

Learn the essentials of disaster preparedness in our first session—what to pack in your Go-Bag, key documents to take, evacuation routes, and creating defensible space. You’ll leave with checklists, forms, and the know-how to start building your personalized plan.

2-Day Workshop

Day 2

Dive into evacuation and recovery in our second session—learn critical steps, where to go, how to stay informed, and communicate during a disaster. Then explore the recovery journey, from rebuilding after loss to coping with emotional challenges like PTSD and survivor’s guilt.

2-Day Preparedness, Evacuation & Recovery Workshop
Day One
Preparedness

The first session addresses various aspects of preparedness, including essential items to include in your Go-Bag and evacuation kit; recognizing
key documents and belongings to bring during an evacuation; creating defensible space; planning evacuation routes; along with other relevant subjects! Participants will leave equipped with forms, checklists, resources, and valuable knowledge to begin developing a personalized plan.

Time: 9:00 am - 3:00 pm
Length: 6 Hours

Day Two
Evacuation & Recovery

The second session focuses on different facets of evacuation,
including critical steps to take, possible destinations to consider, and
ways to gather information. Additionally, communication tactics during
a disaster will be explored. It then transitions into the recovery phase
post-disaster, covering topics like dealing with the loss of a home, the considerable effort involved in rebuilding, as well as addressing PTSD
and feelings of survivor’s guilt among other related issues.

The Two-Day workshop condensed into One-Day gives you basic information about getting prepared and what to do if you had to evacuate. Things you will learn are, how to protect your home with defensible space,

what important documents and items to take when evacuating, essential items to include in your Go-Bag and evacuation kit, where to get help. identifying evacuation route(s), and so much more.
