Out of the Ashes

October 10, 2026

Out of the Ashes is an elegant annual gala that brings the community together to remember the Caldor Fire while celebrating resilience and renewal. The evening features wines poured by local wineries, thoughtfully prepared cuisine from local restaurants, and live performances by local musicians—creating a warm, vibrant atmosphere that blends remembrance with connection. Through storytelling and education about disaster readiness, the event turns reflection into purpose and support for a more prepared future.

The Disaster Readiness Workshops and Pioneer CERT Trainings provide hands-on, practical education that helps individuals and communities prepare for, respond to, and recover from emergencies. Participants gain essential skills in disaster planning, basic medical aid, fire safety, and coordinated response, building local leadership and community resilience—especially in rural and wildfire-prone areas.
