Location: 5300 Block Butte Creek Road near Happy Valley Road, East of Somerset.
First Report: 1:41 PM
Vegetation fire reported with some smoke showing on cameras. Full response in-route.
Update: 1:57 PM
The fire is 2 acres in light sage and oak moving with the wind per arriving engine. 3 additional type 3 engines requested, Air Attack plus 2 tankers arriving over the fire now.
Update: 2:03 PM
The fire is 2-3 acres with slow to moderate rate of spread. The head of the fire is being held up at a dirt road per Air Attack.

FIRIS mapped the fire at approximately 5 acres, their perimeter is in the image below, marked in red. Air Attack and tankers have been released, some ground resources also now being released. Minimal smoke remains on cameras.

Forward progress stopped at 5 acres per CAL FIRE.

Fire has been remapped at 6.7 acres. Status of the Tate Fire is now Inactive.
